Bread and Rose
Today we watched a movie called Bread and Rose, which is about the janitor's cause, especially latin ones. I liked the movie, it was very inspiring and powerful. It shows explicity the fight of the cleaning workers in Los Angeles and how they protested for their rights.
My favorite character was Maya, she is the protagonist of the story. She was my favorite because she represented a strong, independent and empathetic woman. And I think it is very important to watch that kind of characters in movies.
However, I didn't like a thing about the movie but it is only a detail. I think the movie is good but it isn't very polished in aesthetic. So, is very clear that it is an independent movie.
My favorite scene was when Maya helped a man despite not knowing him, because it gave me the idea that she did that only because he was latin and he was in a inferiority situation compared to the US police.
